4G Wireless Internet
AT&T Wireless Internet coverage at the Bobby Dodd stadium has been enhanced with an upgraded 4G LTE network distributed antenna system. The expansion is a part of the company’s VIP Investment Plan Project aimed at providing additional wireless capacity for subscribers on all game-days.
From this game season onwards football buffs following important plays at the Bobby Dodd Stadium can look forward to enjoying a better mobile experience on their wireless devices. Exciting moments of the game can be shared among friends and family through the installation of DAS multiple antennas placed in strategic locations across the stadium. These antennas will seamlessly distribute the wireless network coverage to every part of the Bobby Dodd Stadium. DAS is ideal for heavy traffic locations like football stadiums as it can provide consistent and enhanced wireless service in both indoor and outdoor environments with restricted geographical limitations and where crowd density can interrupt with an optimal wireless connectivity.
AT&T’s VIP project is a three year plan where the company intends to invest across all its markets for expanding IP broadband connectivity. The company intends to provide an effective solution for the ever increasing need for high speed Internet access as well as cater to other value added service needs like cloud solutions and innovative app support. Towards the end of year 2015 the company plans to invest on 1,000 more DAS installations across US while adding 10,000 more macro cell sites and deploying over 40,000 small cell sites. This will effectively expand the density of AT&T Internet wireless network.
Keith Holmes, VP and General Manager AT&T Georgia said, ‘when our subscribers head out to Bobby Dodd stadium to cheer their home team we like them to have a great network experience. This should be throughout the game play no matter what they are doing from making a call, downloading apps, checking mail or surfing the Internet’. He also added that the investments made for the expansion in Bobby Dodd is only one in an ongoing initiative for investing in Atlanta.
